C Andre Siddarth is the Chennai Super Kings youngster whose Andre Siddarth IPL stats sheet is still blank on the playing side. Signed by CSK for 30 lakh rupees at the IPL 2025 mega auction as one of the youngest uncapped buys in the auction, Siddarth spent the 2025 and 2026 seasons in the CSK squad without getting a game. That has not stopped him being one of the most watched uncapped batters in Indian domestic cricket, after a debut Ranji Trophy season in which he piled up more than 600 runs for Tamil Nadu.
This is the story so far: a right-handed batter from Chennai with a first-class average over fifty, a CSK contract at 30 lakh rupees, and an IPL debut that is still awaited. Here is everything verified about his IPL journey, his domestic record, and where he stands ahead of IPL 2027.

Who Is Andre Siddarth?
C Andre Siddarth is a right-handed batter from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, born on 28 August 2006. He is the nephew of former Tamil Nadu cricketer S Sharath, and he came through the Tamil Nadu age-group system before breaking into the senior side in October 2024. His entry into first-class cricket was striking: four half-centuries in his first six Ranji Trophy innings announced him as one of the most promising young batters in the country.
At the IPL 2025 mega auction, he was the second-youngest player picked, bought by Chennai Super Kings for 30 lakh rupees. His domestic first-class record stands at 16 matches with 1,117 runs at an average of 53.19, including two hundreds and nine fifties, with a highest score of 121. In List A cricket he has 173 runs from 8 matches at 28.83. He has not yet played an IPL match, and his T20 experience at senior level is still limited, with most of his cricket in the longer formats.

Andre Siddarth IPL 2024 Stats
Siddarth was not part of any IPL squad in 2024. He was still in Tamil Nadu’s age-group setup that year, playing for the state Under-19 team and then the Cooch Behar Trophy-winning Tamil Nadu side.

During the season he spoke about advice from MS Dhoni, who told him in a training session at the Wankhede to stay calm and keep his mind blank — guidance he has described as a turning point in his approach.

Andre Siddarth IPL 2027 Team and Price
Neither confirmed. Siddarth’s last verified IPL contract was 30 lakh rupees with Chennai Super Kings, the deal he signed at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Whether CSK retain him or he enters the IPL 2027 mini-auction pool has not been officially confirmed. With a mini-auction that forces franchises to fill specific gaps, uncapped domestic performers with first-class averages above fifty tend to find interest — but that is the market’s call to make, not a confirmed fact.

Andre Siddarth’s IPL Performance Analysis
There is no IPL on-field record to analyse yet, which is itself the main point: CSK bought Siddarth as a development pick, not an immediate starter. The franchise has used similar paths before — young domestic batters who spend a season or two learning in the squad before getting a chance. What is notable is that his domestic numbers did not dip after the IPL signing; his 2024-25 Ranji season at 68 per innings and a Duleep Trophy call-up kept his trajectory pointing upward.
The real question ahead of IPL 2027 is selection, not form. CSK’s batting order has been a tough one to break into, and Siddarth’s first-class game is built on patience and technique rather than the power-hitting that tends to win IPL debuts. His path to a first cap likely runs through consistent domestic T20 performances that prove he can shift gears. The retention decision in November 2026 will show how strongly CSK still back that bet.
