Arjun Tendulkar’s IPL career has been a long exercise in patience. Bought by Mumbai Indians in the 2021 mini-auction for Rs 20 lakh, the left-arm seamer waited two full seasons before his debut finally arrived in 2023, when he received his cap from Rohit Sharma ahead of the game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Four appearances and three wickets followed, but a regular spot never came: one match in 2024, none at all in 2025. In November 2025, Mumbai traded him to Lucknow Super Giants at Rs 30 lakh, giving him a fresh start.
This page covers Arjun Tendulkar IPL stats in one place: his 6 matches and 4 wickets for MI and LSG, the 1 for 9 that remains his best IPL bowling, his full auction and trade history from 2021 to the 2025 move, and what is known about his IPL 2027 team and price.

Who Is Arjun Tendulkar?
Arjun Sachin Tendulkar was born on 24 September 1999 in Mumbai. He is the son of former India captain Sachin Tendulkar. Unlike his father, Arjun is a bowler first: a left-arm medium-fast seamer who relies on swing and accuracy rather than raw pace, and who bats left-handed in the lower order. He stands around 6 ft 1 in and generates a natural angle across right-handed batters with the new ball.
He made his Twenty20 debut for Mumbai in early 2021 and moved to Goa ahead of the 2022-23 domestic season, where he made his first-class and List A debuts. He announced himself in red-ball cricket with a century on his first-class debut for Goa, a reminder that his batting is more than tail-end hitting. In first-class cricket he has taken 52 wickets with a best of 5 for 25, and his best T20 figures are 4 for 10.

Tendulkar spent five seasons with Mumbai Indians from 2021 to 2025 but played only five matches for them, stuck behind one of the strongest pace attacks in the league. On 15 November 2025, hours before the retention deadline, MI traded him to Lucknow Super Giants at Rs 30 lakh, the same deal that saw leg-spinner Mayank Markande move from Kolkata Knight Riders to Mumbai.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL 2024 Stats
| Mat | Runs conceded | Wkts | BBI | Avg | Econ |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 22 | 0 | – | – | 11.00 |
Arjun played a single match for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 and went wicketless, conceding 22 runs in his two overs. It was a season in which Hardik Pandya had taken over the captaincy from Rohit Sharma, and the young seamer could not break into a settled bowling attack. He did not bat in that game.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL 2025 Stats
Arjun Tendulkar did not play a single match in IPL 2025. After going unsold in the initial rounds of the 2025 mega auction, Mumbai Indians reacquired him at his base price of Rs 30 lakh in the accelerated round, but he spent the entire season on the bench. His IPL 2025 record reads: 0 matches, 0 wickets, 0 runs.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL 2026 Stats

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

His first season in Lucknow colours brought one appearance: against Punjab Kings at Lucknow on 23 May 2026. Bowling four overs, he took 1 for 36, added an unbeaten 5 off 5 balls with the bat, and held one catch. LSG’s pace group that season featured Avesh Khan, Mohammed Shami and Mohsin Khan, so opportunities remained scarce even after the move. Captain Rishabh Pant used him as a backup new-ball option in that game.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL 2027 Stats
IPL 2027 statistics are not available yet because the season has not started. As of 15 October 2026, Tendulkar has no officially confirmed IPL 2027 team or price. His 2026 season with Lucknow Super Giants ended with a single appearance, so his route into 2027 depends on LSG’s retention call or the IPL 2027 auction, whichever comes first.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL 2027 Team and Price
No official announcement has been made about Arjun Tendulkar’s IPL 2027 team or price. His last confirmed IPL transaction was the trade from Mumbai Indians to Lucknow Super Giants at Rs 30 lakh in November 2025. Any retention or new deal for 2027 would follow the IPL 2027 retention and auction rules. This page will be updated when his 2027 status is officially confirmed.

Across six IPL matches, Tendulkar has batted twice and scored 18 runs at a strike rate of 128.57, with a highest score of 13. His one six in the IPL came during the 2023 season, when he struck 13 off 9 balls. He is a lower-order hitter rather than a recognised batter at this level, and his first-class century for Goa remains his standout innings with the bat.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL Career Bowling Stats
| Mat | Overs | Runs | Wkts | BBI | Avg | Econ | SR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | 16.1 | 150 | 4 | 1/9 | 37.50 | 9.28 | 24.25 |
Six matches have brought Tendulkar four IPL wickets at an average of 37.50 and an economy rate of 9.28. Three of those wickets came in his debut season of 2023 and the fourth in his solitary 2026 appearance for LSG. The sample size is tiny, but the economy rate shows the area he must improve to earn a regular spot: franchises will want to see the new-ball swing that made his name in domestic cricket translate into tighter spells.

Arjun Tendulkar IPL Highest Score
Arjun Tendulkar’s highest IPL score is 13, made for Mumbai Indians during the 2023 season. Coming in down the order, he struck 13 off 9 balls at a strike rate of 144.44, including one six. His only other IPL innings brought 5 not out for LSG against Punjab Kings in 2026.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL Wickets and Best Bowling
Tendulkar has taken four wickets in his six-match IPL career, and his best bowling figures are 1 for 9. Three of his wickets came in 2023, his debut season, when he dismissed the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Sunrisers Hyderabad for his maiden IPL wicket. His most recent IPL wicket came for LSG against Punjab Kings in May 2026, when he returned 1 for 36 from four overs. He has no four- or five-wicket hauls in the IPL.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL Batting Records
With 18 runs from two innings, Tendulkar holds no significant IPL batting records. His batting story in professional cricket is written elsewhere: the century on his first-class debut for Goa remains the headline innings of his career so far.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL Auction Price History
| Season | Team | Price | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2021 | Mumbai Indians | Rs 0.20 crore | Bought at mini-auction |
| 2022 | Mumbai Indians | Rs 0.30 crore | Bought at mega-auction |
| 2023 | Mumbai Indians | Rs 0.30 crore | Retained |
| 2024 | Mumbai Indians | Rs 0.30 crore | Retained |
| 2025 | Mumbai Indians | Rs 0.30 crore | Reacquired at base price (mega auction) |
| 2026 | Lucknow Super Giants | Rs 0.30 crore | Traded from MI |
His price has barely moved in six years: Rs 20 lakh as a 21-year-old in 2021, then Rs 30 lakh every season since, whether bought, retained or traded. Franchises have consistently seen him as a low-cost development pick rather than a matchday asset, which is exactly why Mumbai moved him on: at LSG he has a clearer path to actual overs.
Arjun Tendulkar IPL Records and Achievements
His IPL achievements are modest in number but real. He made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023, receiving his cap from Rohit Sharma, and took his first IPL wicket against Sunrisers Hyderabad by dismissing Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Outside the IPL, the standout achievement is his century on first-class debut for Goa, along with first-class best bowling of 5 for 25. The November 2025 trade to Lucknow Super Giants marked the start of a new chapter after five seasons at Mumbai.
Arjun Tendulkar’s IPL Performance Analysis
The headline number is six: six matches in six seasons. Everything else flows from that. Tendulkar has never had a run of games long enough for his figures to mean much, and his career economy rate of 9.28 reflects a bowler learning on the job in short, high-pressure bursts rather than a finished product. His best work has come with the new ball, where his left-arm angle and swing give him a point of difference, but he has rarely bowled in the phase that suits him best.
The comparison with his domestic record is instructive. For Goa he has 52 first-class wickets and a century on debut, which is why franchises keep paying Rs 30 lakh for him. The IPL has simply never given him the overs to show it: Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult and company kept him out at MI, and at LSG he arrived behind an established pace group. If Lucknow, or another franchise, finally trusts him with a stretch of new-ball overs, the 2026 appearance (1 for 36, tidy enough) suggests he will not be embarrassed. Until then, his IPL story remains potential waiting for opportunity.
