For 14 years, Chris Gayle owned this record. His 128 not out in Delhi on 17 May 2012 was the first century ever conceded by Delhi in the IPL. It came in a 21 run win for RCB and featured a 204 run second wicket stand with Virat Kohli, who made 73 not out. Gayle hit 13 sixes in that knock, still the most sixes by any batter in an innings against DC.
Eight days later, in the same 2012 season, Murali Vijay smashed 113 for Chennai Super Kings against Delhi Daredevils in Qualifier 2 at Chennai.
