Josh Inglis walked into the IPL with a reputation built on fast scoring and sharp wicketkeeping, and sixteen matches across two seasons suggest the hype was justified. The Australian wicketkeeper-batter arrived for Josh Inglis IPL Stats pages on the back of a Champions Trophy century for Australia, yet he still had to earn his place in a star-studded Punjab Kings line-up in 2025. He did that the hard way, with match-turning knocks in the business end of the season. Released a year later after a scheduling clash with his wedding, Inglis returned to the auction and was snapped up by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 8.60 crore, more than treble his previous price. His 2026 campaign with LSG was short but spectacular: 266 runs in five matches at a strike rate of 186.01, including an 85 off 33 balls against Chennai Super Kings that remains his highest IPL score.
This page tracks every confirmed detail of Inglis’s IPL journey: his season-by-season numbers, auction history, teams, and what the 2027 season holds for him.

Josh Inglis’s IPL Performance Analysis
The numbers tell a clear story of a player whose IPL role has sharpened with each season. In 2025, Inglis was a useful contributor in a deep Punjab side, averaging 30.89 with a strike rate of 162.57, and his best work came under pressure in the playoffs. In 2026, with a smaller sample of five matches for Lucknow, his output surged: his average rose to 53.20 and his strike rate to 186.01, with a fifty in three of his five innings. That progression suggests a batter who has adapted quickly to Indian conditions and to batting in the middle order against high-quality spin and death bowling. His value to franchises is twofold: genuine wicketkeeping quality and a strike rate that sits comfortably above the league average for keepers. The open question ahead of 2027 is consistency across a full season, something he has never had the chance to show in the IPL. If Lucknow retain him or another franchise secures him, he projects as a top-four option rather than a squad filler.
