Musheer Khan IPL stats tell a story that is still in its opening chapter. The Punjab Kings all-rounder made history on his very first day in the league: on 29 May 2025, during Qualifier 1 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Mullanpur, he became the first player ever to make his T20 debut in an IPL playoff game. Sent in as an impact substitute with Punjab collapsing at 60 for 6, the then 20-year-old could not rescue the chase, but he left his mark with the ball by dismissing Mayank Agarwal. Few IPL careers have begun on a stage this dramatic.
Before the IPL, Musheer had already built a towering domestic reputation. He starred at the 2024 ICC U19 World Cup with 360 runs and two centuries, broke a 29-year-old record held by Sachin Tendulkar by becoming the youngest Mumbai batter to score a century in a Ranji Trophy final, and announced himself in senior domestic cricket with 181 on Duleep Trophy debut. Punjab Kings bought him at his base price of Rs 30 lakh in the IPL 2025 mega auction and retained him for 2026 at the same salary, backing him as a long-term prospect. This page tracks his verified IPL numbers, price history, and team status.

Who Is Musheer Khan?
Musheer Naushad Khan was born on 27 February 2005 in Kurla, Mumbai, and is the younger brother of India batter Sarfaraz Khan. Trained by his father Naushad at Azad Maidan, he developed into a right-hand middle-order batter who bowls slow left-arm orthodox spin. He plays domestic cricket for Mumbai.
His rise was rapid and loud. At the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 he finished with 360 runs in seven matches, including two centuries, and took seven wickets, earning a place in the ICC Team of the Tournament. In March 2024 he became the youngest Mumbai batter to score a century in a Ranji Trophy final, scoring 146 in the final against Vidarbha and surpassing a record Sachin Tendulkar had set nearly three decades earlier. He had already cracked 203 not out in the Ranji quarterfinal that season. His Duleep Trophy debut in September 2024 brought 181 and a record eighth-wicket partnership with Navdeep Saini.
In September 2024 Musheer suffered a neck fracture in a road accident near Lucknow while travelling to the Irani Cup, and Mumbai Cricket Association confirmed he missed the fixture. He recovered fully, returned to domestic cricket, and was fit for the IPL 2025 season with Punjab Kings.

Musheer Khan IPL Highest Score
Musheer Khan is yet to score his first IPL run. His only innings so far ended in a three-ball duck against RCB in Qualifier 1 of the 2025 season, when Suyash Sharma trapped him in front with Punjab in deep trouble at 60 for 6. Given his domestic record — a first-class double century and four first-class hundreds — the batting numbers in the IPL can only move upward from here.
Musheer Khan IPL Wickets and Best Bowling
Musheer has taken one IPL wicket: Mayank Agarwal in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2025, which is also his best bowling figure of 1 for 27 from two overs. It came in a high-pressure playoff setting on his T20 debut, a small but encouraging sign of his left-arm spin holding up at the top level.
Musheer Khan IPL Batting Records
Musheer holds no major IPL batting records yet — his league career currently stands at one innings. His meaningful records sit in domestic cricket: 360 runs with two centuries at the 2024 U19 World Cup, the youngest Mumbai century in a Ranji Trophy final, and a 203 not out in the 2024 Ranji quarterfinal.

Musheer Khan’s IPL Performance Analysis
One match is no sample at all, and that is the honest frame for Musheer Khan’s IPL numbers so far. The 2025 Qualifier 1 appearance was the toughest possible debut: walking in at 60 for 6 in a playoff chase and then bowling in a game Punjab lost heavily. The duck hurt, but the wicket of Mayank Agarwal showed his left-arm spin can function under playoff pressure even on the first day of his T20 career. Punjab team-mates Marcus Stoinis and Shashank Singh carried much of the batting load that season, while Prabhsimran Singh kept the scoring tempo at the top; with the ball, Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal led the attack that Musheer is learning alongside.
What makes him worth tracking is the gap between his IPL numbers and everything else on his resume. Players with his domestic pedigree — a Ranji final hundred at 19, 181 on Duleep Trophy debut, an U19 World Cup where he both scored hundreds and took wickets — rarely stay peripheral for long. Punjab Kings’ decision to retain him for 2026 despite a single appearance signals the same belief. His all-round profile fits the modern IPL middle order: a right-hand batter who can absorb pressure and a left-arm spinner who offers a different angle. Young Indian talents like Nehal Wadhera have shown how quickly a retained youngster can turn opportunity into a breakout season, and the versatile Marco Jansen and young spinner Pravin Dubey are part of the same developing PBKS group around him. The 2026 and 2027 seasons will tell whether the league numbers start to resemble the domestic ones.
