List: Players with 1000+ Runs and 100+ Wickets in IPL

Only six players have scored 1000 plus runs and taken 100 plus wickets in the Indian Premier League. It is a short list, and that is what makes it special. A batter can score runs for years without taking wickets. A bowler can take wickets for years without scoring many runs. To do both, a player must stay fit, stay in the team, and keep contributing in both jobs season after season.

Ravindra Jadeja leads this list by a clear margin. He has scored more than 3500 runs and taken 180 wickets. Dwayne Bravo was the first player to reach the double, back in 2015. Krunal Pandya is the latest player to join the list. He reached 100 wickets in IPL 2026. The other three players are Andre Russell, Axar Patel and Sunil Narine.

This article gives the full list, with matches, runs, batting average, wickets and bowling average for each player. It also looks at how each player reached the double, and why so many famous all rounders never got there.

Players with 1000 runs and 100 wickets in IPL all rounders list

List Overview

The double of 1000 runs and 100 wickets is a test of all round value. It rewards players who bat in the middle or lower order and still bowl their full four overs in most matches. All six players on this list did that job for many seasons.

Record History

Dwayne Bravo opened this club. He reached the double during the 2015 season, in his 89th IPL match. Bravo played for Mumbai Indians in the first three seasons, then became a key player for Chennai Super Kings. He finished his IPL career with 1560 runs and 183 wickets in 161 matches. His best bowling figures were 4 for 22.

Ravindra Jadeja joined the list next in terms of impact, and then moved far ahead of everyone else. He made his IPL debut in 2008. He has played for Rajasthan Royals, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Gujarat Lions and Chennai Super Kings, and returned to Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2026. On 28 March 2025, during a match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Chennai, Jadeja reached 3000 IPL runs. That made him the first player to score 3000 runs and take 100 plus wickets in the IPL. By the end of IPL 2026 he had 3526 runs and 180 wickets in 268 matches, with a highest score of 77 not out and best bowling figures of 5 for 16. Jadeja also holds the fielding part of a rare triple, with 1000 runs, 100 wickets and 50 catches. Sunil Narine reached the double through a very different path. He joined Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 and has played his whole IPL career for that one team. He started as a mystery spinner who rarely batted high in the order. Over time he became a pinch hitter at the top of the order as well. That change pushed his run total past 1000, while his wicket count kept growing. He now has 1820 runs and 207 wickets in 202 matches. His full bowling record is covered in Sunil Narine IPL wickets year by year.

Andre Russell is the most explosive player on this list. He has scored 2651 runs in 140 matches, with a strike rate well above 170 in his career, and he has taken 123 wickets. His best bowling figures are 5 for 15 against Mumbai Indians in 2021. Russell reached the double during his long run with Kolkata Knight Riders, where his power hitting and death bowling made him a match winner in both jobs.

Axar Patel became the fourth player to reach the double. He took his 100th IPL wicket in May 2022, when he already had more than 1000 runs. Axar started with Mumbai Indians in 2014, found regular cricket with Punjab Kings, and then became a core player for Delhi Capitals, where he also captained the side in IPL 2025. By the end of IPL 2026 he had 2089 runs and 139 wickets in 176 matches. His highest score is 66, against Gujarat Titans in 2024, and his best bowling figures are 4 for 21.

Krunal Pandya is the latest member of the club. He reached 100 IPL wickets on 15 April 2026, playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Lucknow Super Giants. His 100th wicket was Abdul Samad, caught by Rajat Patidar. At that point he had already scored more than 1000 runs, and he finished IPL 2026 with 1982 runs and 107 wickets in 158 matches. Krunal played for Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants before joining Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and he was Player of the Match in the IPL 2025 final, taking 2 for 17 as Bengaluru won their first title.

What This Record Tells Us

This list is short because the double asks for two different skills at a high level for a long time. Many great all rounders fall short on one side. Shane Watson scored 3874 runs but took only 92 wickets, eight short of the mark. Hardik Pandya has scored 2955 runs but has 82 wickets so far. Yusuf Pathan, Jacques Kallis and Yuvraj Singh also scored plenty of runs but never reached 100 wickets.

The six players who did reach the double share three traits. First, they bowled regularly, not just now and then. Second, they batted high enough, or often enough, to collect runs over many seasons. Third, they stayed in IPL teams for a long time, which gave them the matches needed to build both totals. Jadeja is the clearest example. He batted in the middle and lower order, bowled in almost every match, and played 268 matches, more than anyone else on this list.

The list may grow in future seasons. Hardik Pandya needs 18 more wickets to join it, if his run total stays above 1000, which it already does by a large margin. Other young all rounders will need many seasons of regular cricket in both jobs before they get close. For now, six names tell the full story of this rare IPL double. Jadeja also features among the leading catchers in most catches in IPL.
